Requirements

  • Evidence of your identity (passport, residence permit, nationality identity card, etc.)
  • Evidence of your knowledge of English and UK culture (confirmation of having passed the ’Life in the UK‘ test and an ESOL certificate)
  • Evidence of settlement for applicants from Switzerland or the European Economic Area, and
  • Evidence of marriage for applications made on the basis of marriage or civil partnership to a British citizen.
